Democrats Trying to Influence GOP Gubernatorial Primary- Again
The Democratic Party is at it again with their shenanigans.
In 2022, Democrats created a mailer called “Dangerous Dan Cox”. The mailer appeared to be a pro- Kelly Schulz ad, but it was sent out by a Democratic group.
It stated that Cox was too conservative and too pro Trump to be governor. Of course, it was reverse psychology as the mailer appeared to be targeted towards Democrats but it was strategically sent to Republican voters to persuade them to vote for Cox.
Some believe that mailer tipped the scales that lead to Cox’s primary victory over Schulz.
On Monday, the Democrats sent a similar mailer to Republican voters tying Cox again to Trump and stating that Hale is a former Democrat.
In order words, the Democrats want conservative voters to know that Cox is the conservative candidate.
Democrats know Hale polls better against Wes Moore, so they prefer Cox as the GOP nominee.
Will this strategy work again? Probably not or it’s not necessary.
There is no secret that Republicans voters know that Cox is the most conservative and reflects the traditional Republican platform, but is not appealing to independents and moderate Democrats.

Hale does better with independents and moderate Democrats but alienates most conservative Republicans after his party switch.
Republicans voters have known the contrast between these two candidates since February and most have already decided which direction they want to go. We just don’t know the results yet.
A mailer stating the obvious contrast between the two candidates men not make a difference.
