Mangione Calls Out Democratic Opponent after Tombstone Incident

Baltimore County Councilman Nino Mangione shared a photo of an event where there was a Halloween tombstone that was mocking Mangione’s campaign. Mangione called out his Democratic opponent Shawn McIntosh.

The incident took place at a Trunk or Treat Halloween event in Cockeysville.

Mangione released the following statement:

“How distasteful do you have to be to show up at a children’s Halloween event with a tombstone displaying my name on it?

“The Cockeysville Volunteer Fire Company hosted a wonderful Trunk or Treat for little children, some just two, three, and four years old. There is a time to put politics aside, and this was one of them.

“While I was handing out candy and enjoying the smiles on these kids’ faces, my opponent apparently thought this was the place for dark and tasteless political attacks.

“I think this says a lot about Shawn McIntosh’s lack of taste and judgment. In the coming days, we’ll learn a lot more about her record, and none of it is flattering. Even with tens of thousands of your taxpayer dollars funding her campaign, she can’t hide from that record. Stay tuned.”
