Early Polling Show Marylanders Oppose Redistricting Referendum

A new poll from Protect Maryland Vote shows 41 percen5 of Marylanders oppose Question 3, while only 28 percent support it, with 31 percent undecided.

Question 3 is a referendum on the 2026 ballot that would amend the Maryland Constitution to allow mid cycle redistricting.

If passed, this will allow for Democrats to redraw Maryland’s eight Congressional districts to gerrymander out the only Republican seat in the state.

While it is good news to see this poll, Protect Maryland Vote is a Republican-based organization. It will be interesting to see how a non-partisan poll plays out for Question 3.

Even if the Protect Maryland Vote is accurate, there are still 31 percent undecided and you know the Maryland Democratic machine is going spend a boatload of advertising to get this referendum passed.

This is going to be a battle and it is looking good for Republicans, so far.
