Dan Cox Wins GOP Nomination for Governor

Dan Cox has been elected the Republican nominee for Governor. The Fourth District Delegate defeated Kelly Schultz 56 to 40.

Cox will likely face Democrat Wes Moore, who is leading the Democratic field.

GOP Councilwoman Jessica Haire has defeated former state delegate Herb McMillan 43 to 40 percent, and she will face Stu Pittman in the Anne Arundel County Executive Race.

Allan Kittleman won 94 percent of the vote against his two Republican opponents and will face Democrat Calvin Ball in the Howard County Executive race.

Sen. Bob Cassilly defeated his GOP opponent Billy Boniface 68 to 32 and will face Democrat Blane H. Miller, III in the Harford County Executive Race in November.

Former Del. Pat McDonough was able to survive his “sign gate” controversy and won the Baltimore County Executive GOP race with 40 percent of the vote. Baltimore County Executive John Olszewski will face McDonough in November.
