Parrott Joins Hogan, Harris & Klacik As Primary Winners

Former Ðelegate Neil Parrott emerged from the crowded Congressional District 6 Republican primary and will face Democrat April McClain Delaney in November for David Trone’s vacant seat.

It looked like Parrott was starting to pull away from Gubernatorial candidate Dan Cox in the past few weeks in this primary. Parrott won by a much larger margin than expected on Tuesday night.

As expected, Larry Hogan, Andy Harris, Kim Klacik were all big winners on Tuesday.
Hogan will take on Angela Alsobrooks for the vacant U.S. Senate seat. Klacik will now face Democrat Johnny Olszewski for the vacant seat in Congressional 2. Harris is a heavy favorite in his race as Democrat opponent Blane H. Miller, III.

There was an upset in Cecil County as Adam Streight appears to have defeated sitting County Executive Danielle Hornberger in the Republican primary.

Adam Streight just narrowly lost to Danielle’s ex-husband Del. Kevin Hornberger in the 2022 District 35B primary.

Danielle was able to upset sitting Cecil County Executive Allan McCarthy in the 2020 Republican primary.
