Former GOP Chair Diana Waterman Has Died

Diana Waterman, former chair of the Maryland Republican Party, has passed away at the age of 63.

The Centreville resident Diana Waterman died on October 17, 2024.

Diana was the Chief Financial Officer for Waterman Realty on Kent Island and an influential leader of the Republican Party in Maryland.

She was elected to the Republican Central Committee in in 2006 and became the President of the Maryland Federation of Republican Women. She was elected as 1st Vice Chair and served as Maryland Republican Party Chair from 2013 to 2017.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Diana Waterman Scholarship Fund. The Fund will offer an annual scholarship to a college bound young woman from Queen Anne’s County planning to study political science, with the intent to bring people together for the greater good.
