The Maryland Republican Party honored Ambassador Ellen Sauerbrey in Baltimore County on Monday.

Congressman Andy Harris and Governor Bob Ehrlich were among the guest at the event.

“What an honor it was to participate in the MDGOP Tribute to Ellen Sauerbrey! Her race for governor in 1994 was the first campaign I worked on, and now she serves as my campaign chair,” Harris said.

“She has been a tremendous support for conservatives across the country, and her dedication is an inspiration to all.”

Sen. Mary Beth Carozza and Delegates Kathy Szeliga and Ryan Nawrocki were also at the event.

“It was a special night paying tribute to a dedicated leader, Ambassador Ellen Sauerbrey, who has faithfully served our state and country as a teacher, legislative leader, diplomat and patriot! She especially has been an inspiration to so many Maryland women by serving as Minority Leader in the House of Delegates and as President George W. Bush’s Representative to the U.N. Commission on the Status of Women, where she advocated for women in countries with little or no human rights. I publicly want to thank her for encouraging my public service. Thank you Maryland Republican Party for organizing this well-deserved tribute honoring Ambassador Ellen Sauerbrey,” Carozza said.
