Nawrocki Starts Campaign to Fight Moore’s Proposed Tax Increases

Del. Ryan Nawrocki (R-7) has started a campaign drive to stop Gov. Wes Moore’s proposed tax increases. Here is his statement
Governor Moore’s recently proposed budget offers a troubling glimpse into the future—a delivery tax. Let’s break it down: this tax would add a $0.75 fee to every online purchase on top of the existing 6% sales tax.
Whether you’re ordering from Amazon, Walmart, another retailer, or even a pizza from Papa Johns, this measure would make everyday convenience more expensive. But it gets even worse! $0.75 is only the starting point- like the gas tax, the delivery tax will be tied to CPI, which means it goes up with inflation yearly.
Together, we can send the Governor a strong message that we won’t accept this draconian delivery tax proposal. Join me by clicking the link to oppose this potentially massive tax on the hardworking people of Maryland.
