Democrats Pass Redistricting; Can GOP Take Advantage in November?

The Special Session is over in Annapolis and Maryland Democrats continued their plan to get rid of any and all Republican Congressional representation within the state.
They passed HB 2100 which would allow Democrats the ability to redraw the line to remove Congressman Andy Harris’ seat.
The bill passed along party lines in both the House and Senate. It appears Sheree Sample-Hughes was the only Democrat to vote no in either chamber.
She should been applauded. Not for being the only Democrat to vote no, but she has no Republican opponent to answer to in November.
Maybe Sample-Hughes voted no because as an Eastern Shore resident, she feels it is important to keep the area in one Congressional district.
The rest of the Democrats have no shame. They must be confident in their chances in November to call a Special Session for this controversial topic right before an election.
If the Republicans can’t take advantage and pick up some background seats in November for this stunt, shame on them.
